Melbourne Recital Centre: Tangles
1 November @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEDT

TANGLES – Explorations in new modular music unites some of Melbourne/Naarm’s most compelling and innovative musicians for one night of modular synthesis exploration. Internationally acclaimed audiovisual artist and Melbourne Recital Centre’s Artist in Residence for 2025, Robin Fox, presents a rare sound-only performance alongside modular mind-bender Mat Watson, supersonic explorer Katerina Stathis, and new duo HateHeat featuring the visionary Chloë Sobek and Ysk.
The resurgence of analogue tools in electronic music performance has opened new and radical creative possibilities for artists. The Eurorack phenomenon allows each performer to curate their instrument or collection of modules, creating distinct sound worlds that reflect individual vision and process.
In four extraordinary sets, witness these artists transform the Primrose Potter Salon into an ephemeral sonic landscape that demands to be heard
