Festival of Voices: Teddies & Bin, Rhyme & Sing
28 June @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm AEST

This year, the Festival of Voices celebrates its 20th anniversary with what it calls its “biggest program yet”: as its centrepiece, Verdi’s Requiem will see its first Tasmanian performance in 40 years under the baton of UK conductor David Lawrence. Other festival highlights include ensembles The Australian Voices, Germany’s Sjaella, The Hong Kong Children’s Choir and New Zealand’s Luminata Voices, and the free, family-friendly festival mainstay, The Big Sing.

Created by acclaimed Tasmanian writer and performer Bindy Stephens, Teddies & Bin, Rhyme & Sing is a joyful, interactive theatre experience designed especially for children aged 0 to 7 years. Featuring storytelling, music, and movement, this heartwarming production encourages kids to explore friendship, kindness, and problem-solving through play and song.
Join DJ Dog Bruce and a lively cast of characters as they navigate the ups and downs of friendship, learning the importance of sharing, listening, and working together. With catchy tunes, playful rhymes, and plenty of opportunities to join in, this show will have children (and their grown-ups!) clapping, singing, and laughing along.
