GMG Productions: The Play that Goes Wrong
1 July @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEST

If you just want a good laugh, look no further than The Play That Goes Wrong, in which the inept Cornley Drama Society attempts to stage a 1920s murder mystery. It’s not as clever as Michael Frayn’s inspired Noises Off, but it’s fun. Co-written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields for Mischief Theatre Company, it’s now into its 10th year in London’s West End and has toured globally. Last seen in Australia in 2017, it’s back with a new cast. Reviewing it for Limelight, Jason Blake wrote it “turns the stuff of every stage actor’s nightmares (missing props, stuck doors, flubbed lines and the like) into a balletically precise 100 minutes of pratfalls and panic.
