The Unknown Swimmer, in development at UKARIA in January 2024, brings together the music of award-winning composer Kevin March and the words of soprano/poet Judith Dodsworth. Coupled with stunning visuals and digital environments by photographer Jason Reekie and Justin Gardam, in this exciting new work cold-water swimming becomes a metaphor for transformation and healing. Universal in its scope and also deeply intimate, The Unknown Swimmer resonates through its powerful imagery and evocate score for soprano/speaker, flute, cello and percussion.
