Catherine Likhuta’s Tides of Silence: Three Songs for Mezzo-Soprano explores themes of despair, hope, and human fragility, drawing inspiration from fictional and real-life stories of profound emotional struggle and acts of self-destruction. It is written for Morgan Rosati, a mezzo-soprano from Brisbane, who will leave for Manchester the day after the concert to pursue further study at the Royal Northern College of Music.
