The Deep North Festival: William Barton and Friends
5 December @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm AEDT

In the spectacular Deep North Festival Big Top Town Tent we welcome William Barton to perform his exceptional repertoire, supported by friends and festival collaborators, including Dreaming songstress Aunty Delmae Barton, violinist Veronique Serret and The Bowerbird Collective.
William Barton is widely recognised as one of Australia’s leading Yidaki/Didgeridoo players. His distinguished career includes performances with the London and Berlin Philharmonic orchestras, an ARIA award-winning album and an appointment as first Indigenous director of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
With his prodigious musicality and the quiet conviction of his Kalkadunga heritage, William has vastly expanded the horizons of the didgeridoo — and the culture and landscape that it represents.
From 5–7 December, Avalon, Whale and Palm Beaches transform for a weekend of music, art, dance, creativity and fun. The Deep North welcomes both locals and visitors to a destination of culture and connection.
Where culture meets coastline.
