Limelight Magazine is look for passionate individuals looking to get valuable experience working for one of Australia’s most respected and longest running arts titles: Limelight Magazine. We’re looking to recruit two Editorial Interns and one General Office Intern. Following a probation period of two weeks, successful applicants may have their internship extended to three months. Interns are generally committed for 1 day per week, though this may be more or less depending on your needs, proficiency and interests. Editorial Interns at Limelight Magazine are supervised by Digital Editor Maxim Boon and generally have the following tasks: Researching images for articles Preparing data and layout for our “What’s On” section Experience writing news and reviews Fact checking and proofing Transcription of interviews Production We seek editorial interns with the following qualities: An interest in becoming a media professional or arts and entertainment journalist Basic word processing / computer skills Punctual, efficient, diligent and enthusiastic An appreciation (if not a practice in) the performing arts In addition to editorial interns, we seek a General Office Intern. They are supervised by Andrew Batt-Rawden (Publishing Director).
