ABC Education has today launched Let’s Sing, a new digital initiative for teachers and primary school students to engage in music-making and education.

A reworking of the ABC radio program of the same name, Let’s Sing features eight short episodes featuring a range of Australian artists including opera stars Kanen Breen and Teddy Tahu Rhodes, Casey Donovan, Tim Minchin, the Australian Vocal Ensemble and the Australian Haydn Ensemble.
The cast also features host Emma Watkins and music educator and composer Andrew Aronowicz
Children are Backing tracks for the featured songs and extra content are also available on the ABC Education website, and the series will see the addition of all-new videos in July. The Australian Youth Orchestra’s Music in Me initiative also offers some free teaching resources in collaboration with Let’s Sing.
“My great hope when students and teachers watch our recordings together is that the sense of fun and the sense of collaboration and the enjoyment that we have all had in this room together [comes through]…. making music is something that everyone can access,” said Kanen Breen.
