Belvoir launches a 10-play campaign for 2024, a season of fresh takes on modern classics, new works and a revival of one of the company’s landmark productions.

Season 2024 opens under the Sydney Festival umbrella with Tiddas (11–29 January), Anita Heiss’s adaptation of her own much-loved novel about five women who meet once a month as a book club – only to talk about anything other than books. Part of Sydney Festival’s Blak Out program, this will be Sydney’s first look at a play that premiered in Brisbane’s La Boite Theatre in 2022. A powerhouse cast breathes life into the story’s diverse “sisters”, all friends since childhood: Louise Brehmer, Shakira Clanton, Chenoa Deemal, Anna McMahon and Queensland theatre luminary Roxanne McDonald are set to feature in this acclaimed page-to-stage directed by Nadine McDonald-Dowd.
