Always first out of the gate in the annual round of major metropolitan festival launches, Brisbane Festival has announced its complete 2024 line-up. Tickets for the Festival, 30 August – 21 September, are on sale now.

“Brisbane Festival believes in the transformative power of the arts to unite, inspire and empower,” says the Festival’s Artistic Director Louise Bezzina.  “My fifth Festival program is a creative celebration of this power on both a global and a local scale. I am delighted this year to bring leading international artists as well as creatively significant, profoundly inspiring and wholly entertaining works from across the world to our city.”

The headliner

The “you can’t miss it” event of this year’s Brisbane Festival has to be Jean Paul Gaultier’s Fashion Freak Show, 50 years of pop culture as seen through the eyes of one of its most influential figures.
