Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2023

With its full program to be released in February, the Four Winds Festival 2023 has been announced. Gathering its community with local and touring musicians across the Easter long weekend, 7-9 April, the festival’s program hosts a series of exciting collaborations and proudly holds music by First Nations artists in its spotlight.

Speaking to its 2021 Festival in LimelightHarriet Cunningham noted how “the beautiful setting and natural soundscape  envelops us all, reminding us that no matter how exquisite or arresting the performances are, they are still just guests, travellers passing through.”

”Four Winds Music Festival elevates the senses, welcoming listeners into nature, drawing them together in community through music,” said Creative Director Matthew Hoy.

On 7 April, March Static joins Speak Percussion and more than 50 musicians from the Sapphire Coast for a site-specific work composed by Thomas Meadowcraft, one that sees its performers move throughout its audience as a reimagined marching band.
