Phillip Glass has teamed up with Music Theatre Wales to create an opera based on Franz Kafka’s The Trial.
This is the latest of many collaborations between Glass and the Cardiff-based opera company (beginning with the premiere of Glass’s The Fall of the House of Usher) but it is the first time he has written specifically for MTW. According to Music Director Michael Rafferty, Glass approached the Welsh group with the idea.
