Back on dry land, Deborah Jones unpacks the remarkable story of Siegfried Fischbacher and Uwe ‘Roy’ Horn, aka Las Vegas headliners Siegfried & Roy. After building stellar career making tigers and elephants disappear twice a night, 44 weeks of the year, for capacity audiences in a bespoke theatre, tragedy famously struck. Now their act is history, but their story lives on in Siegfried & Roy: The Unauthorised Opera, one of the headline shows of the 2025 Sydney Festival.
