Blown away by the inspired use of music in Australia’s award-winning and globally famous animation series Bluey, Andrew Luboski talks to the show’s award-winning lead composer Joff Bush about his musical inspirations for the show (which range from Mozart to the Romanian composer Grigoraș Dinicu) and what it might mean for the future of music eduction in Australia.

Back on dry land, Deborah Jones unpacks the remarkable story of Siegfried Fischbacher and Uwe ‘Roy’ Horn, aka Las Vegas headliners Siegfried & Roy. After building stellar career making tigers and elephants disappear twice a night, 44 weeks of the year, for capacity audiences in a bespoke theatre, tragedy famously struck. Now their act is history, but their story lives on in Siegfried & Roy: The Unauthorised Opera, one of the headline shows of the 2025 Sydney Festival.
