Music Australia has announced the latest recipients of the Export Development Fund. This round granted $828,537 to Australian artists across a variety of contemporary music genres ranging from pop, soul and rap to screen composition and contemporary classical.

The Export Fund comprises three streams: International Performance and Touring Activity ($554,076), International Professional and Artistic Development ($177,890) and International Market and Audience Development ($96,571).
ELISION Ensemble has been named as one of this round’s recipients. The timing is perfect – in 2026, the Melbourne-based new music supergroup celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Composer and sound designer Rachel Lewindon and drummer Oliver Hanane have also received funding. The two will undertake a residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts and record a new album titled Grimm, a contemporary spin on the Brothers Grimm’s fairy tales to be accompanied by a visual score.
