In 2025, One Equal Music (OEM) puts on its “most ambitious year yet”, says Co-Directors Eleanor Adeney and Tomasz Holownia.
With a new album and choir, alongside two first-time collaborations, it is certainly a step up for Brisbane’s first professional choir.

In late February, the ensemble launched its debut album, Eternity, which will shortly be released on streaming services. Recorded at Grand on Ann, the album is both a celebration of Australian works and the “choral treasures” that sparked the idea to establish the choir.
Following, on 21 March is Beloved, examining how different forms of love manifest in choral music. The Ubi Caritas hymn in interpretations by Joe Twist, Duruflé and Gjeilo alongside works by Whitacre, Walton and Mealor feature in the program, as does the work Holownia wrote for he and Adeney to walk down the aisle to.
