With five programs, four illustrious pianists and two guest artists, Piano+’s Out West Piano Fest has announced its 2025 program.

For a “three-day symphony of the senses” across 24–26 October, the annual festival will again take root in Bathurst among the spring blooms of Blackdown Farm – a 1822 homestead skirted by 17 acres of garden and grassland. This year’s festival is curated for the first time by Executive Director Mark Coughlan, who also features as one of this year’s performers.
Following triumphant turns at the 2023 Sydney International Piano Competition, First Prize winner Jeonghwan Kim, Chinese pianist Wynona Wang and Reuben Tsang, Australia’s fast-rising young piano star, also return to the Piano+ program.
The festival ventures beyond the piano with two guest artists – soprano Rachelle Durkin and Sydney Symphony Orchestra Associate Concertmaster Harry Bennetts.
