Adelaide’s OzAsia Festival returns this spring across four weekends from 17 October to 9 November. The 2025 edition promises to transform the city into a hub of contemporary Asian and Asian Australian culture, with more than 200 artists from 14 countries presenting a program of shows and events in city theatres, public spaces and gardens.
Festival Director Joon-Yee Kwok has designed a program to celebrate “culture, creativity, community and connection,” one featuring six world premieres, four Australian premieres and eight Adelaide premieres.
Highlights include the one-night-only appearance of GRAMMY Award-winning Japanese jazz pianist Hiromi, who teams up with the PUBLIQuartet string ensemble for The Piano Quintet at Adelaide Town Hall on 28 October.
Also at the Town Hall, William Yang reflects on eight decades of art, identity and resilience in Milestone, a visual memoir scored live by composer Elena Kats-Chernin and Ensemble Lumen.
