The Queensland Government has announced a record $39.2 million in funding through its Organisations Fund 2026–2029, backing 53 arts and cultural organisations across the state. Music, opera, dance, theatre companies and First Nations organisations are among the key beneficiaries.
Eighteen of the successful organisations are based in regional Queensland, supporting artistic activity in communities from Townsville and Bundaberg to Gympie and Winton.
Among the leading recipients in the performing arts sector is Australasian Dance Collective (awarded $660,000), affirming its status as one of the state’s premier contemporary dance companies. Other key dance recipients include Karul Projects Dance Theatre ($110,000) and BlakDance Australia ($148,500), both of which centre First Nations perspectives and choreographic leadership.

In music, Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra has secured $275,000 to continue delivering high-quality chamber performances across the state, while Southern Cross Soloists will receive $154,000.
