Melbourne Recital Centre has announced Robin Fox, an internationally celebrated audio-visual artist, as its Artist-in-Residence for 2025. Known for his innovative integration of sound and visuals, Fox promises to bring his unique creative vision to one of Australia’s most prestigious performance venues.

A pioneer in the world of electronic music and visual art, Fox co-founded the Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio (MESS) in 2016 and has showcased his revolutionary works in over 60 cities globally. His acclaimed performance TRIPTYCH debuted at Unsound Krakow in 2022 and earned the Isao Tomita Special Prize at Ars Electronica in 2023.
“Being chosen as artist-in-residence at the Melbourne Recital Centre is such a meaningful recognition for me as an artist,” Fox said. “I love that the Recital Centre embraces all genres of music. It’s exciting to create something that surprises people, especially those who might not have encountered electronic compositions before.”
