Sydney Dance Company has announced the five new dancers joining its ensemble in 2025.

Selected from a pool of 300 applicants, Mathilda Ballantyne, Mali Comlekci, Sonrisa Hubbard, Eka Perunicic and Sam Winkler will make their company debut in  the Melbourne premiere of SDC Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela’s Somos at Arts Centre Melbourne (13–23 March), and its return season in Sydney at Neilson Studio, Walsh Bay (27 March – 6 April).

Australian-Chinese artist Mathilda Ballantyne was a finalist for the Telstra Emerging Choreographer Award and the Brisbane International Contemporary Dance Prix.
