Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2024

The Sydney Fringe Festival has announced its 2024 offering with more than 400 events programmed to play across Sydney from September 1–30, 2024.

Headlined by the triple Grammy award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir, SFF includes an expanded Sydney Fringe Sideshow takeover of The Rocks, and the festival’s first-ever Queer Hub at Qtopia Sydney.

The festival will unfold in four distinct precincts: Inner West, Central, Eastern, and Greater Sydney, each offering experiences reflecting local culture and communities. This approach aims to deepen the connection between festival-goers and the diverse narratives of Sydney’s neighbourhoods.

“Sydney Fringe Festival is back and better than ever with an incredible program platforming authentic stories, fresh talent, uplifting entertainment, and boundary-pushing events,” said Festival Director Kerri Glasscock. “We’re thrilled to be activating new parts of the city, driving connectivity and community in unusual and unused spaces.”
