Sydney Youth Orchestras (SYO) has revealed what’s in store for 2024 – three main stage concerts, and some special highlights.
This is the first program under newly-appointed Chief Conductor Stanley Dodds. The Berlin-Philharmonic violinist and conductor was appointed to lead SYO in July, with his duties commencing this December.

“I see the role of conductor as being more like a facilitator,” Dodds told Limelight in November. “My aim is to try and give the greatest sense of freedom possible within the context.
Dodds will take the podium for the first concert of the 2024 season in February. For A Life in Music, he has built a program out of works he has a deep connection with, including works by Cathy Milliken
