Arts Tasmania has announced the recipients of its 2024–25 annual programs funding.
Ten organisations are set to benefit from $1.33m, earmarked for developing and sharing works, building partnerships within the arts sector and to “connect with and inspire audiences and the wider community”.

Van Diemen’s Band has received a total of $160,000 from the application in order to launch its 2025 program. In 2025, the chamber orchestra (who recently announced the purchase of a rare triple harp) will present both four regional and one national tour, its Lunchbox Concert series across Hobart, Launceston and Burnie, amongst other performances.
Launceston’s Mudlark Theatre has received $200,000 for its 2025 program. The funding will be put towards the creation and development of new works – with works by First Nations artists Sinsa Mansell and Nathan Maynard set for the season.
DRILL Performance Company will receive $100,000 to create “socially relevant dance performances for young people”, including outreach and dance activities within schools.
