The Sydney Theatre Company’s Broadway production of The Picture of Dorian Gray has secured six nominations in the 2025 Tony Awards. It’s one of the most nominated non-musical plays this year, just trailing behind The Hills of California and John Proctor is the Villain with seven nominations, and beating out Sanaz Toossi’s English and Oh, Mary! with five.

Sarah Snook has earned a nomination for Best Performance by An Actress in a Leading Role in a Play. She’s up against Mia Farrow (The Roommate), Sadie Sink (John Proctor is the Villain), LaTanga Richardson Jackson (Purpose) and Laura Donnelly (The Hills of California).
In 2024, Snook took home the Olivier Award for Best Actress.
Ex-STC Artistic Director Kip Williams has also been nominated for Best Direction of a Play; his fellow nominees are Sam Mendes (The Hills of California), Knud Adams (English), Sam Pinkleton (Oh, Mary) and Danya Taymor (John Proctor is the Villain).
