It has been announced that Guy Ghouse AM, guitarist and composer has died aged 56. He passed away on 21 November, 2025, surrounded by family, after a two-year battle with cancer.

A musician of enormous skill, Ghouse was equally cherished as a collaborator and mentor. He was the longtime musical partner – on stage – and husband – off stage – of Gina Williams, with whom he created a body of work – including four Noongar-language albums and the opera Wundig we Wilura – that has had a profound impact on communities across Australia.

He continued composing and performing until just weeks before his death.
