Sydney Opera House: Australian Guitar Quartet
1 November @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm AEDT

The Australian Guitar Quartet brings together four of Australia’s most compelling guitarists: Leonard Grigoryan, Andrew Blanch, Slava Grigoryan and Vladimir Gorbach, each renowned for their virtuosic technique and genre-defying performances. The newly minted ensemble captivates audiences with kaleidoscopic repertoire that spans the baroque and Latin America to contemporary music and beyond, celebrating tradition and innovation with a distinctively Australian sound.
Hear this remarkable quartet of masters blend the crystalline clarity of classical guitar with the flair of contemporary music, performing music by JS Bach, Australian composer Nigel Westlake and American jazz guitarist Pat Metheny.
The soft-spoken sound of four guitars is perfectly suited to the intimate setting of the Utzon Room in what promises to be an enchanting musical experience.
