Queensland Symphony Orchestra: Bach’s Christmas Oratorio

7 December @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm AEST

Celebrate the festive season with Bach’s sublime Christmas Oratorio. This expression of joy is the perfect close to the year. Conductor Benjamin Bayl has chosen a jubilant collection of Bach’s masterwork for this special performance. The sanctity of the nativity and the wonder of the Christmas season sing through pastoral woodwind and triumphant brass, as the conservatorium theatre becomes a poignant cathedral of sound. Exultant and divine, Bach’s holy offering is timeless. Soloists Sara Macliver, Stephanie Dillon, Paul McMahon and Shaun Brown are joined by the expressive qualities of the Brisbane Chamber Choir, in one of the most eloquent tributes to the festive season.
