Sydney Symphony Orchestra: Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto
22 July @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm AEST

Before Beethoven changed the world, he was a young man carving his place in it.
His First Symphony and Second Piano Concerto reveal a composer testing the limits of what music could be. This concert offers a unique chance to experience Beethoven’s evolution from his early career to the beginning of his heroic period.
Chief Conductor Simone Young captures the magic of Beethoven’s music, from youthful exuberance to towering genius. And Spanish pianist Javier Perianes is the ideal interpreter for these concertos, precise and direct but also bursting with passion.
