Four Winds: Slow – Where Stillness Finds A Voice
4 April @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm AEDT

This is a concert designed to breathe, with spacious soundscapes that invite contemplation and revival. Pianist-composer Luke Howard opens with his own meditative works before joining Lenny Grigoryan for original duos shaped by quiet beauty. The Grigoryan Brothers perform Howard’s Amistad and Nat Bartsch’s luminous Kindling, while Andrew Blanch and Vladimir Gorbach bring radiant colour to Philip Houghton’s Wave Radiance. Sharon Grigoryan will perform Sarah Hopkin’s Reclaiming the Spirit before being joined by Luke Howard for Arvo Pärt’s transcendent Spiegel im Spiegel, its crystalline lines suspended in time. Solo moments for tabla (Bobby Singh) and electric bass (Al Slavik) act as sonic interludes, cleansing the palette between pieces — a gentle journey inward through space and resonance.
