Bhairavi Raman is an Indian-Australian violinist. Classically trained in Western and Carnatic forms, she merges concepts and techniques to express her bicultural identity. She uses sound in a dynamic way, blending concepts and techniques developed through her decades of training and expertise in Carnatic (South Indian Classical) and Western Classical music. She holds an A.Mus.A in violin awarded by the AMEB, and has pursued advanced training in Carnatic Music in India for the past 12 years.

Accompanying Bhairavi Raman is Nanthesh Sivarajah, a multidisciplinary artist, passionate about combining his broad artistic skillset to produce unique works. He is a percussionist, trained in both Carnatic and Western forms, and proficient in several instruments including the Mridangam, Kanjira, Ghatam, Morsing, and several other percussion instruments.

With over 400 performances to their name, they represent a formidable blend of traditional knowledge honed in India, technical mastery, musical boldness and an authentically Melburnian voice.
