Sydney Art Quartet: Colour Music
2 November 2025 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm AEDT

Inspired by Roy de Maistre’s colour-music theory, the Sydney Art Quartet joins forces with Australian composer Nicholas Vines for a luminous exploration of sound and colour.
Please join us as we delve into the world of synesthesia with string quartets by Haydn and Vines. The concerts will include a discussion with Steven Miller (former head of the National Art Archive at AGNSW) and composer Nicholas Vines in which they will reflect upon the artistry of Roy de Maistre in relation to music, colour, form and composition.
