Curated by Artistic Director Kate Suthers, this intimate weekend at Coriole Winery brings together some of Australia’s most accomplished musicians, including Berlin-based cellist Martin Smith and London-based violist Richard Waters. From Beethoven, Korngold and the Mahlers to John Adams, Alice Chance, Jessie Montgomery, Caroline Shaw and Dobrinka Tabakova, program highlights include the world premiere of Belinda Gehlert’s Stellar and the festival premiere of Anne Cawrse’s This Too Shall Pass.

Limelight Editor’s Choice

The day will be bookended by septets – Richard Strauss’ monumental Metamorphosen in a septet realisation by Rudolph Leopold, and closing with John Adam’s Shaker Loops. In between we world premiere a new composition by Belinda Gehlert, Stellar, and a Festival premiere by Anne Cawrse, as well as celebrate Giacomo Puccini’s anniversary year with the sublime Crisantemi.
