Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra: Dancing with the Wind
26 September @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm AEST

Joe Chindamo’s Trio Fantastique (2022) sparkles with character, with its tango, waltz, and tarantella evoking Parisian nightlife while honouring France’s woodwind tradition and nodding to Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique.
Milhaud’s Suite d’après Corrette (1937), looks back to the elegant dance music of 18th-century France. Inspired by French Baroque composer Michel Corrette, Milhaud adds a 20th century lens to the original.
Mozart’s Quintet for Piano and Winds (1784), for piano, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn marries symphonic breadth with conversational intimacy.
