Inspire Music Australia: Emerging Artist Concert Series: Sounds from Afar
4 February @ 1:15 pm - 2:00 pm AEDT

Launching our 2026 Series, harpist Chloe Corbett presents a program that explores the harp’s rich musical heritage across cultures while spotlighting lesser-known composers. One of the world’s most ancient instruments, the harp has long moved between folk traditions and classical concert halls; this recital traces that journey through music from the late nineteenth century to today. Works by Salzedo, Watkins, Camille Saint-Saëns, Henriette Renié, and Pearl Chertok reveal the harp’s remarkable range of colour, expression, and character.
Chloe is completing a Bachelor of Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she studies with Alice Giles AM and is a recipient of the Elise Herrman Scholarship (2024). She began harp lessons with Louise Johnson, former Principal Harpist of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium High School. An active soloist and orchestral musician, Chloe has a particular interest in arrangement and in uncovering overlooked repertoire.
