Bowerbird Collective: Emily Granger | A Thing of Beauty
13 June @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm ACST

Emily Granger, Principal Harp of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, performs her new album, ‘A Thing of Beauty’, at the UKARIA Cultural Centre.
This new album from harpist Emily Granger brings together music that lingers — works by Australian women composers, alongside new commissions and a series of deeply personal transcriptions.
American-born, Australian-based Emily Granger effortlessly straddles the worlds of classical, popular, and art music – including glittering reviews for her “vibrant musical personality” (Harp Column Magazine). She has performed recitals from Carnegie Hall to the Kennedy Center and UKARIA Cultural Centre and has appeared with the Chicago, Sydney, and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras.
In 2023, Emily was appointed Principal Harp with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. She is currently on faculty at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and a member of Ensemble Q.
