Adapted from Pushkin, the opera stars Australian soprano Eleanor Lyons as Tatyana, whose youthful emotions are awakened by the careless attentions of the worldly and fatally aloof Onegin. He’s sung here by baritone Samuel Dundas with Paul O’Neill as as his best friend Lensky, Ashlyn Tymms as Tatiana’s friend Olga, and Teddy Tahu Rhodes as the elderly Prince Gremin. Christopher van Tuinen conducts the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and West Australian Opera Chorus.
