Fremantle Chamber Orchestra: FCO with Ellie Malonzo
17 May @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm AWST

Corelli’s Concerto Grosso 11 is the happy opener followed by late Renaissance Gesualdo with daring harmonies 400 years ahead of his time. The Adagio of Mozart’s Divertimento 10 builds the bridge to Svendsen’s Romance featuring fabulous violinist, Ellie Malonzo (16).
Ellie has won 11 first prizes at international competitions and performed in the USA, Vienna, Canada, London, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane. She presents he second Concerto for Violin and Viola. The amazing Paul Wright joins her on viola. With conductor John Keene this is the dream team. Keene: ‘I find myself realising every now and then that I am working with someone so young whose maturity, technical skill, and superb ear and musical sensibility belies her years as both performer and composer’.
Bottesini’s Andante sostenuto, a lush and richly layered romantic jewel, is the homecoming.
