Ukrainians in Sydney: Irma Vytovska in Kyivska Perepichka
28 November @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm AEDT

Kyivska Perepichka is a deeply moving and provocative mono-performance that explores the emotional, psychological, and cultural landscape of Ukrainians in the aftermath of the full-scale invasion.
The work blends contrasting artistic modes – shifting from grief to humour, from lyrical reflection to fierce defiance, from intimate confession to bold phantasmagoria. It resonates profoundly with Ukrainian communities worldwide and introduces Australian audiences to contemporary Ukrainian cultural expression.
The performance is led by Irma Vitovska-Vantsa, one of Ukraine’s most celebrated actresses. A recipient of the title Honoured Artist of Ukraine, she is widely recognised for her extensive contributions to theatre and film. Beyond her artistic achievements, Ms Vitovska is a respected public figure and volunteer, known for her leadership, civic engagement, and her role in nurturing cultural identity among Ukrainians globally.
The play will be in Ukrainian with English subtitles.
