Top Shelf Productions: Julian Lage (USA)
12 September @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm AEST

In 2015, Julian Lage walked into a New York studio and recorded his first solo acoustic album in two days. World’s Fair arrived pared back to its essentials: one guitar, one room, and twelve tracks that felt closer to a private recital than a record release. The album defies genre, drawing classical and American folk into unexpected conversation.
A world-class guitar virtuoso and composer, hailed as one of the most prodigious guitarists of his generation, Lage tours Australia for the first time. The tour marks ten years since the release of his breakthrough solo album World’s Fair, alongside a new vinyl release and accompanying songbook.
Lage has earned five GRAMMY nominations, the most recent for his 2024 album Speak to Me. He has also collaborated with fellow musical heavyweights including Gary Burton, Yoko Ono, Jim Hall, and John Zorn.
