The Adelaide Wind Orchestra presents Kingfishers Catch Fire at Elder Hall, University of Adelaide on Saturday 13 June at 7:30PM.
The prograe spans the full range of the symphonic wind ensemble — from Percy Grainger’s iconic Lincolnshire Posy to Jennifer Jolley’s luminous Dune Aurora, Adam Gorb’s majestic Pike’s Peak, Frank Ticheli’s radiant Sanctuary, and the spectacular title work: John Mackey’s Kingfishers Catch Fire, depicting a kingfisher erupting into morning sunlight after a storm.
Conductors: Sean Renaud and Benjamin Wohlfeil.
