Through music and the spoken word, Lest We Forget explores the complex emotions of war: heroism, courage, patriotism, grief, horror and personal tragedy. This poignant program brings together beautiful choral works, evocative poetry, instrumental music and much-loved melodies to remember the sacrifices of generations past.
This concert includes works by Elgar, Ivor Gurney, George Butterworth and Eleanor Daley, alongside readings of powerful poems including In Flanders Fields, Dulce et Decorum Est and The Silent One.

Set within the magnificent surroundings of the Basilica, this promises to be a deeply moving musical experience, offering an opportunity to pause, reflect and remember.
