Victorian Opera: Ned Kelly – The Musical
25 July @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm AEST

Following an acclaimed season in Ballarat, Victorian Opera brings its new staging of Reg Livermore’s Ned Kelly: The Musical to Melbourne. Originally produced in the late 1970s, it explores the life and times of Australia’s most notorious bandit – an outlaw and a bushranger whose iconic homemade suit of armour captured the imagination of a nation. But who was Ned Kelly? A rightly celebrated anti-hero or simply a cold-blooded killer? Stuart Maunder directs with Simon Holt at the helm of the VO Chamber Orchestra and a cameo appearance by Livermore himself.
