Darwin Symphony Orchestra: Palmerston Classics
9 October @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm ACST

Join the DSO in Palmerston for a glittering evening of popular classics, filled with colour, romance, and energy. The program opens with Wagner’s majestic Meistersinger Overture before moving to the elegance of Elgar’s beloved Serenade for Strings. Our own brilliant woodwind soloists then take centre stage in Mozart’s radiant Sinfonia Concertante for Four Winds.
From there, the concert flows into the beauty of ballet with highlights from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, the lyrical charm of Albéniz’s Tango, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s dazzling Capriccio Espagnol. Together, these works create an evening of sweeping emotions and sparkling orchestral colour.
This concert celebrates music that appeals to every generation, a joyful showcase of opera, ballet, stage and symphonic favourites, performed by your DSO with brilliance and heart. A perfect October evening for audiences of all ages from Palmerston and beyond.
