Jump out of the classroom and dive into an orchestral playground with Bizet’s famous Carmen Suite! Tailored for primary and secondary schools, SYO Symphonic Encounters is a unique experience, where hundreds of students interact with live orchestral music like never before.

With conductor Panagiotis Karamanos leading our SYO musicians alongside Mark Grandison as presenter, this program expertly bridges the divide between stage and stalls. Whether sitting amongst their cohort or brought up on stage as a brave volunteer, students of all ages will come together with the orchestra to compose, improvise, conduct, and bring music to life over the course of a fun and interactive 90-minute concert session.
