James Dekleva: Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker

James Dekleva returns to the Government House Ballroom as part of his 2026 international recital series, presenting a program of vivid colour, lyricism and virtuosity.
At the heart of the recital is Tchaikovsky’s beloved Nutcracker, transformed by Mikhail Pletnev into a virtuosic concert suite for solo piano. The program brings together a varied selection of works before culminating in Pletnev’s spectacular reimagining of Tchaikovsky’s ballet.
