Ensemble Offspring: The Oracle
5 June @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm AEST

Conducted by Clark Rundell, Ensemble Offspring showcases its commitment to expanding the repertoire with four Australian premiere co-commissions including Tobias Broström’s Dream Variations, Tansy Davies’ Lost Science and two works by Kate Moore – Rose of roses, flower of flowers, first heard in New York in 2025 and now presented for co-commissioner Mark Wakely’s 70th birthday, and Storm Oratory, a new percussion concerto written for and performed by Artistic Director Claire Edwardes. The program also includes Christopher Cerrone’s How to Breathe Underwater.
Limelight Editor’s Choice
Ensemble Offspring’s biggest and boldest program of the season is also our most subtle and surreal, with music that will overwhelm you with its delicate beauty and luminous sonorities. New music turns to ancient, elemental inspiration in this revelatory program of brand new music. Join us as we consult The Oracle.
