Melbourne Fringe Festival: We Wanna Have a Lot of Forks in a Backpack

17 October @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm AEDT

We Wanna Have a Lot of Forks in a Backpack is a contemporary dance duo work choreographed by Lola Borroni and Hannah Vella, emerging artists based in Naarm. Presented as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival.

Exploring layered transformation, the work uses forks as objects of choice, resistance and connection. Through stylised and quirky partner work, the two dancers navigate a world where every action creates a reaction, every choice opens up a new possibility, and nothing is ever truly static.

As the dancers shift between connection, separation, repetition and transformation, the body is constantly adapting and responding.

Blending contemporary movement with playful physicality, We Wanna Have a Lot of Forks in a Backpack invites audiences into a strange, tactile and ever-changing world where we exist in a constant state of becoming.
