Sydney Symphony Orchestra: William Barton & the Sydney Symphony
4 June @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEST

Whether he’s writing for voice, yiḏaki and guitar or the full force of a symphony orchestra, William Barton creates music that feels grounded and expansive.
Described by ABC Arts as a ‘master of his craft and a deeply compelling performer’, Barton’s music moves through scenes of land and light: expansive, shaped by ancient songlines, lived experience and a fearless openness to new forms.
Experience the many layers to Barton’s sound world. From the open skies of Birdsong at Dusk to the stormy reveries of Journey to the Edge of the Horizon, each piece reverberates ‘with spiritual energy’ (The Guardian).
These are intimate and personal works written by and for Barton, performed with his partner Véronique Serret, his mother Aunty Delmae Barton and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
