State Library of Western Australia: X-Press Magazine: 41 Years on the Streets Exhibition Launch
19 June @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm AEST

Join the State Library of Western Australia to launch our newest exhibition, X-Press Magazine: 41 Years on the Streets.
We’ll be celebrating with an electrifying panel conversation with journalists, musicians and those closest to the magazine, who’ll reminisce on war stories from the trenches of rock ‘n’ roll and print journalism and reflect on the changing tides of fashion, media and pop culture in Perth. The evening will also include musical interludes from Abbe May.
On 21 June 1985, the first printed edition of X-Press Magazine hit Perth’s streets. From humble beginnings as a small but plucky guide to Perth’s nightlife, the magazine became a highly influential bible for all things music, art, fashion, food and drink in Perth.
