Europa! Europa returns to Australia for its second year with a festival of 29 films from 24 countries.
“Europa! Europa is a celebration of the diversity and richness of European cinema,” says Artistic Director Thomas Caldwell. “Our program offers a wide range of genres and styles, catering to a diversity of tastes.”
A highlight of the festival will be the Australian premiere of new 4K restorations of Krzysztof Kieślowski’s Three Colours Trilogy. “These films perfectly embody the spirit of European cinema and exemplify our guiding programming principles: showcasing films that are multinational, arthouse alternatives to mainstream Hollywood cinema, and bold in their storytelling,” Caldwell says.

Europa! Europa’s opening night is devoted to the French production The Blaze, director Quentin Reynaud’s eco-thriller focused on a young man and his ageing father trying to escape a devastating wildfire. André Dussollier and Alex Lutz star.
